Diatoms are unicellular brown seaweeds ownership of which the celluloid membrane has to fix the silica of water. After the death of organism, frustules give, after fossilization, a white, light, very porous rock: the diatomite. After their treatment, diatoms form a white or pink powder of an extreme porosity.

The powder of diatomite is used to filter water, oils, wine, beer, brine, glucose...
His power of break is between 0.8 and 4 µm, between the systems of filtration membranes (0.1 - 1.5 µm) and the systems of filtration of sand (15 - 35 µm). Applications are numerous, in membrane pre-filtration, in the industry, the food processing industry.

Our manufactures constituted filtering, covered elements by a calibrated texture, trap in the land diatomite and form filtering cake.

 

These filtering elements are put in battery in vats of boiler making industries taken on steel measurements, steel, stainless steel, polyester.

This disposition allows to develop an important filtering surface, that's why this type of filtration is often chosen instead of a sand’s filtration portray to solve pressures of blockage.
